Human Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) protein supports the maintenance and differentiation of numerous types of neurons including dopaminergic neurons. GDNF is used to differentiate human pluripotent stem cell into neurons and in pluripotent stem cell derived brain organoids.
