Anti-Renilla GFP antibody
What are the features of Renilla GFP?
The jellyfish (Aequorea victoria) and the sea pansy (Renilla reniformis) both have GFPs, but sequence homology between the two proteins is only 23.9%. Because of this, antibodies to Renilla GFP do not cross-react with jellyfish GFP.
Renilla GFP is as bright as EGFP, and its fluorescence lasts longer. Renilla GFP is also less cytotoxic than EGFP.
