| Background | Product description: This type I membrane glycoprotein is a receptor (or element of a larger receptor complex) for C1q, mannose-binding lectin (MBL2) and pulmonary surfactant protein A (SPA). The protein may mediate enhancement of phagocytosis in monocytes and macrophages upon interaction with soluble defense collagens. May play a role in intercellular adhesion. It has 1 C-type lectin domain and 5 EGF-like domains. The ecto-domain of human C1qR, residues 22- 580 was over-expressed in HEK293EBNA1 cells and purified to homogeneity. The protein has 1 potential N-linked glycosylation site. The protein contains a N-terminal hexahistidine tag. The calculated molecular weight without glycosylation of recombinant human C1qR, residues 22 - 580 including hexahistidine tag, is 59.7 kDa. Reference sequences: Swiss-prot Q9NPY3 |
