Storage and Stability:VWF-A1-A2-A3-R1597Q-(his)C should be stored at -80℃ (stable for at least 1 year). The buffer contains 25 mM Tris 350 mM NaCl pH 7.8 without preservative. After thawing it should be stored in appropriate small aliquots at -20℃ or -80℃ (stable for at least 2 months). For maximal stability the concentration NaCl should be at least 100 mM.

| Background | Product description: Human Von Willebrand Factor (VWF) is a multimeric glycoprotein, which is involved in binding coaggulation factor VIII and in adhesion of platelets at sites of vascular damage. In the process of platelet adhesion VWF binds to exposed collagen via the A3 domain, followed by binding of the A1 domain to platelet receptor glycoprotein Ib-IX-V complex. Residues 1261-1874 of human VWF which contains vWD type 2A mutation R1597Q were cloned, the protein was over-expressed using rPEx™ technology and was purified to homogeneity. The calculated molecular weight of recombinant human VWF-A1-A2-A3-R1597Q-(his)C is 68.7 kDa. Reference sequences: Swiss-prot P04275 |
