背景	Product description: This protein is a cell surface sialoglycoprotein expressed on cytokine-activated endothelium. It is a type I transmembrane protein and is a member of the IgG superfamily. It mediates leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion and signal transduction. It may play a role in the development of artherosclerosis and rheumatoid artritis. The ecto-domain of human VCAM1, transcript variant a, residues 25 - 698, was over-expressed in HEK293EBNA1 cells and purified to homogeneity. The protein contains a N-terminal hexahistidine tag.
