背景	Product description: This protein a type I membrane heparan sulphate proteoglycan. Syndecan-1 is involved in cell prolifiration, cell migration, and cell-matrix interactions. Altered syndecan-1 expression has been observed in several tumor types.　 The ecto-domain of human syndecan-1, residues 21 - 254 was over-expressed in HEK293EBNA1 cells and purified to homogeneity. The protein has 5 potential O-linked glycosylation sites, 1 potential N-linked glycosylation site and 1 phosphorylated serine residue. The protein of this product has a higher molecular weight compared to S003B, suggesting a higher degree of glycosylation. The protein contains a C-terminal hexahistidine tag. The calculated molecular weight without glycosylation of recombinant human syndecan-1, residues 21 - 254 including hexahistidine tag, is 25.8 kDa. Reference sequences: Swiss-prot P18827
