Background Quiescin sulfhydryl oxidase 1 (QSOX1) is an enzyme that mediates disulfide bond formation in a variety of secreted proteins. QSOX1 is expressed in the heart, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, and pancreas. Overexpression of QSOX1 is found in various cancers including breast, pancreas, and prostate cancers.
