| Background | 難読症関連遺伝子であるKIAA0319は、1回膜貫通型のタンパク質で、脳神経細胞において神経突起の形成や成熟過程に働いていると言われているが、その制御機構は未解明な部分が多い。細胞外領域には細胞接着に関与するPKDドメインが存在する。 本モノクローナル抗体は、KIAA0319の細胞外領域とIgGの融合タンパク質を抗原として、ラットに免疫して得られた抗体である。クローン56F3 は、細胞外PKDドメインにエピトープがあるため、全長やN末欠失タンパク質にも反応するが、クローン62A3は細胞外N末端にエピトープがあるため全長 のみを認識する。2つのクローンは、神経細胞の形態変化におけるKIAA0319の役割を調べるためのツールとして重要である。 |
