背景	Fibroblast growth factor receptor-like 1, also known as FGFRL1 or FGFR-5, is a member of the fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) family. FGFRL1 consists of an extracellular region composed of three immunoglobulin-like domains, a single hydrophobic membrane-spanning segment, and a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase domain. The extracellular domain contributes to cell adhesion. FGFRL1 is expressed preferentially in cartilaginous tissues and is also expressed in the pancreas, liver, kidney, heart, brain, and skeletal muscle.
